Liam Toney

I am a Mendenhall postdoc at the U.S. Geological Survey Geologic Hazards Science Center (GHSC).

I use seismoacoustics — the combined study of vibrations in the Earth and sound waves in the atmosphere — to characterize non-earthquake geohazards, such as avalanches, landslides, and volcanic eruptions.

At the GHSC, I am affiliated with the Landslide Hazards Program and the Earthquake Hazards Program.
